Antique Toy Brands

Building toys for children was a big business, but was also a satisfying one.  Companies would create toys with materials that were available at the time like tin, wood and cast iron and fashioned them to look like a favourite radio personality or television star or perhaps something as simple as a toy train, car or horse.

Some of the more common companies that created toys that are sought after by collectors today include: A. C. Gilbert, Gebbruder Bing, Fisher-Price, Mattel, Louise Marx Toy Company, Milton Bradley, Mattel and Hasbro to name just a few.
